The Grenadier doesn’t have a lot of spare room for an air compressor. Some owners are opting to install one in the load space. Some are trying under the front seats. I opted for under the rear seat. There’s plenty of space if you don’t have a second battery. If you do (as in my case) the available space is pretty tight – but does fit a single cylinder ARB compressor.

There are some mounting bolts on the floor, and people have come up with a variety of brackets to use these. Mine is a steel SHS offcuts cut to suit:

Wiring is simple, as Ineos prewired this location for a compressor (Fuse 113).

There is also just enough room to fit an outlet and switch, tucked behind the seat support. I used the ARB mounting kit (slightly cut down) and a backing plate for strength. This gives access even when your backseat is packed with your partners essential luggage. Nice and tidy!

Yes, it does get warm if you use the compressor a lot. Probably not the best location if you are airing down and pumping your tyres up all the time, but not an issue for the infrequent user (such as myself). Or you can open the seat base up to provide ventilation… whatever works!
